About

OUR CRAFT
Every Blue Heirloom piece begins with something that cannot be replaced.
Tanzanite is found in only one place on Earth. It was created by a single natural event, exists in finite supply, and will never form again. It is thousands of times rarer than diamond — not by design, but by nature. What exists today is all there will ever be. We design modern, striking pieces meant to be seen, loved, and lived in. Jewelry that feels instantly personal, effortlessly beautiful, and impossible to forget once you’ve worn it. The result is future heirloom — pieces chosen deliberately, worn through life’s milestones, and kept because they carry meaning. Blue Heirloom is made for the moments you want to remember, and the stories you want to keep.
VISION & VALUES
Crafting Tomorrow’s Heirlooms Today.
Our vision is to showcase Tanzanite through a modern lens, creating timeless pieces that feel personal and enduring. Each design is crafted to celebrate beauty, mark moments, or simply honor the stone's rarity. Made with care and intention, our jewelry is designed to be worn, treasured, and passed down for generations.
  • Authenticity
Every Tanzanite is certified and traceable, ensuring transparency from origin to the final piece.
  • Fairness
By working directly with those involved at every stage of creation, we are able to offer thoughtful pricing.
  • Craftsmanship
Our pieces are shaped by skilled artisans who combine refined design with time-honoured techniques.
  • Community
We believe in giving back through continued support of education, health, and conservation initiatives.
GIVING BACK

Purpose in Every Piece

At Blue Heirloom, every purchase helps make a positive difference. We support a range of causes that honour our Cultural Heritage roots while uplifting people and communities.

Jane Goodall Museum & Roots & Shoots

We support the Jane Goodall Museum at the Cultural Heritage Centre, a pioneering space created with Dr. Goodall’s institute. Through exhibits, programs, and commitment gardens, it inspires visitors to protect wildlife and the environment.

Wheelchair Foundation

In honour of founder Ken Behring, we help provide wheelchairs to individuals with limited mobility. By restoring independence, dignity, and freedom of movement, this initiative helps improve the quality of life for people and families in need.

NICU Fundraiser

Blue Heirloom contributes to neonatal intensive care units at Arusha Lutheran Medical Centre. These facilities provide life-saving care for premature and critically ill infants, helping hundreds of children return home to their families each year.

Plaster House

We support Plaster House’s mission to provide surgical rehabilitation for children with treatable disabilities. Through surgery, recovery care, and support, thousands of children have received the opportunity for more independent lives.

Albino Society

Partnering with the Albino Society, we help create economic opportunities for people with albinism. By supporting the sale of handmade goods, this initiative promotes inclusion, challenges stigma, and encourages long-term financial independence.

Homeless Children Project

We collaborate with artists to transform discarded materials into meaningful works of art. Proceeds help fund shelter, education, and essential support services for vulnerable children, creating opportunities for brighter futures.
